PHOTOS: Old church's controversial siding replacement nears completion

Work nears completion on the vinyl siding of Emmanuel-St.Johns Lutheran Church at Sixth and Union streets. Jason, from Residential Specialists, said the church will save $5,000 a year on heating bills because of new insulation. The siding, he said, has a lifetime warranty. The company took care to retain the bends in the fascia, Jason said, something they rarely do.
